New York City

New York City, boy did you wear me out. But I love ya.

I went to NYC for a 4 day work trip, or workation as I like to call it. My boss and I attended the Surtex show, which is a print and pattern show where artists, illustrators, and vendors come to license and source their artwork. Included with the Surtex show was the National Stationary Show (NSS) and the International Furniture Show (ICFF), which were AWESOME!

Aside from the shows and trend shopping, we also saw some NYC staples and walked more than I have ever walked before. Funny enough (but also not funny) 2 days before this trip, I twisted my ankle at a work picnic, so I had to wear and walk with an ankle brace for 2 days in NYC. Thank goodness for that ankle brace or I would have NOT made it. But I also kind of didn't make it because I did not pack the right big mistake!

Some places we went to in NY included Grand Central Station, Chelsea Market, SoHo, The Met, Central Park and the Empire State Building to name a few. As an avid Gossip Girl viewer, The Met and Grand Central Station were a must see.

We also divulged in some amazing and yummy food. Some of which included, Môkbar at Chelsea Market, Boqueria in SoHo, and 5 Napkin Burger in Hell's Kitchen.
